The following pictures show parts of the
KSG 1300. This system was considered to be a full transmitter - in this case you
see pictures of "Transmitter # III of Radio Nauen" - about 20 miles east of
Berlin, East Germany. Nauen is known as the oldest transmitter-site in the world!
And yes, it is still in use - nowadays broadcasting "Deutsche Welle" on 9545
KHz and others...
This 1,3 KW-transmitter was used as one of the drivers of the the big guns producing several hundred KWs...
